Overview
BaitGuard is a smart rodent bait station monitoring and fleet-management mobile platform developed at Trinode AI. It replaces manual, time-intensive pest inspection rounds with connected IoT telemetry, automated sensor alert feeds, station status tracking, and compliance-ready inspection reports.
The Problem
Commercial pest control and facility management require checking dozens or hundreds of bait stations across warehouses and food plants. Technicians spend hours manually inspecting empty or untouched traps, while rodent infestations or depleted bait can go unnoticed between inspection cycles.
The Approach
Built a mobile-first operations hub in Flutter using Riverpod/Provider state management. The app interfaces with connected bait stations to surface real-time telemetry—including rodent motion triggers, bait level percentages, battery voltage, and tamper detection—while enabling rapid station onboarding via QR scanning and automated compliance report generation.
IoT telemetry & alert workflow
BaitGuard links smart hardware bait stations to an operational mobile hub, streaming sensor telemetry, motion detection triggers, and replenishment notifications in real time.
My Contribution
Developed the BaitGuard mobile app during my Trinode AI internship across five core modules: Overview dashboard, Stations directory & telemetry, Real-time Alerts feed, Compliance Reports, and Settings. Led a UI/UX review and redesign of status cards, camera snapshots, and in-app notifications, and reviewed system architecture and data flows for connected IoT pest-monitoring platforms.
